Activity Snapshot
Activity description
Take a unique behind-the-scenes look at a sled dog kennel in Arreau with this "Mysteries of the Huskies" activity!
An ideal family experience for animal lovers, this visit of a sled dog kennel in the Hautes-Pyrénées will allow you to discover the incredible relationship between the musher and his companions, while learning new things about what goes on behind the scenes at a kennel. Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Greenland Dogs and Samoyeds are waiting to meet you and spend some quality time together in Arreau, just outside Saint-Lary-Soulan!
For 2 hours, the musher will introduce you to his kennel and his 4-legged guests, including a game at the end of which he will give you advice on how to approach a dog you don't know. You will have the chance to put these tips into practice straight away, and then have the pleasure of spending some quality time with the pack, which you will be able to look after (brushing, etc.). The visit to the sled dog kennels at Arreau will end with the dogs being 'released' into a park so that you can watch them interact with each other, and for those who wish, a little feeding session!
If you are curious about what goes on behind the scenes at a sled dog base in the Hautes-Pyrénées or simply want to learn more about Nordic dogs, don't wait any longer to take part in this visit of Le Repaire des Huskys kennel near Saint-Lary-Soulan!
