Practical information
Complete surfing and bodyboarding course for children aged 5 to 13 over 5 days during the school holidays. The course combines learning to surf or bodyboard in the morning, with fun/educational activities in the afternoon.
Course of events
A typical day:
- Transfer from your accommodation (between 30 and 45 minutes depending on traffic).
- Arrival at the spot chosen from day to day, depending on the weather conditions and the age and level of the students.
- Presentation of the day's objectives and choice of exercises.
- Surf or bodyboard lessons for 3h30 (2h in the water).
- Lunch with the other participants.
- Afternoon: a variety of activities.
- Debriefing with the instructor.
- Transfer back to your accommodation.

A minimum of 4 participants is required for the activity to take place.

Tura'i Mataare surf school offers a package, available during school holidays only, suitable for children aged between 5 and 13: a 5-day course divided into surf or bodyboard lessons in the morning, followed by a variety of activities in the afternoon.
Lessons take place on the east coast of Tahiti, between Pointe Venus and the mouth of the Papenoo River. The spot may vary according to weather conditions or the level / average age of the group.
All the necessary equipment is provided by the school: surfboards and bodyboards of different sizes, lycras and wax. Insurance and transport between your place of residence and the beach, in an area stretching from Punaauia PK14 (Punaru) to Papenoo, are also included in course bookings.
Lessons are given by state-certified instructors (BEES 1st degree and lifeguard at sea).
