With this course, you will learn the basics of scuba diving. First, you will learn the theory of scuba diving and how it evolved over the years. You will become familiar with all the signs you need to use underwater as well as the scuba gear, and you will make your first try in open water. In the beginning, you will try to use the equipment in shallow water and then off you will go in the open sea to explore the seabed like a modern Cousteau!

Small and big fish await you in the open water, hiding in between the colorful reefs. You will also explore the underwater caves and you will check the wrecks that house different types of fish from a safe distance. The maximum depth to reach is 6-10 m. Once you complete your Discover Scuba Diving course, you will get the completion certificate in case you wish to follow up with your education in scuba diving!

Practical information

The Discover Scuba Diving session for beginners is the best way to discover what it's like to breathe underwater. You will meet with your instructor in the scuba diving centre where you will have a theory lesson, a briefing on safety measures, and try the equipment. Once you finish with the theory, you will have a 5-10 minutes trial dive to learn how to use the scuba gear and how to breathe underwater. You will then have a dive in the open water, for 20-40 minutes down to 6-10 metres in order to explore the sea bed. Once you finish with the dive you will return to the scuba diving center to get your first scuba certificate.

Activity requirements

Diving within 12 hours of flying is not recommended.

All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
