This adventurous hiking trail invites you not only to enjoy spectacular mountain and ocean views, but also to explore the exciting Limniotis Cave. Inside this hidden amazing cave, unique stalagmites and stalactites await you that have formed over thousands of years. The mindblowing inside of the cave will surely be an unforgettable experience for you. Here you will also have the time to take some photos as souvenirs. After discovering the magnificent Limniotis Cave, you will recharge your batteries during a little break while overlooking the beautiful Aegean sea. Your adventure will continue outside of the cave where your hiking skills will be challenged during a fairly substantial climb as well as descents in a bit tougher environments.
The Limniotis cave hike near Aperi is the perfect excursion for experienced hikers, offering a mix of adventure, adrenaline, historical facts, stunning nature, picturesque views and, of course, lots of fun!

Distance: 7km (4.3 miles)
- You meet your guide in Pigadia and drive to Aperi.
- Your group starts the hike in Aperi, near the exit of Achata beach. You will then descend towards the cave to explore it.
- On your way back you will have a fairly substantial climb.
- After 4 hours your group will be back in Aperi.
This hike is considered challenging and for someone with a good hiking condition that can handle significant ascend and descend. Paths are more uneven and some steep sections.
