Hike around the caramel colored peaks of Landmannalaugar in this unique tour through the Fjallabak Nature Reserve in the Icelandic Highlands.

Landmannalaugar is a unique geothermally active wonderland with hot springs, rambling lava flows, and gorgeous blue lakes. Here in the remote highlands of Iceland, you can find some of the most stunning hiking trails as well as the starting point for the famous Laugavegur trail. This 8 to 10 km long hike will end with a relaxing soak in a natural hot pool.

The extremely diverse landscapes will range from the black lava fields of Lagahraun to the multicolored sulphur of Brennisteinsalda to the black and blue Bláhnúkur volcano. This almost painting like color flow makes for a truly remarkable day.

The tour is available with or without pick up from Reykjavík. The four hour hiking adventure will start from the main hut in Landmannalaugar. The route will go through the Laugahraun lava field, Vondugil canyon, and up to Mt. Brennisteinsalda, a stunning multicolored peak. During the descent, you will walk down Graenagil gorge, or "Green Gorge" in Icelandic, because of its rhyolite green color. Time permitting, you will summit Blahnukur Volcano before soaking in the hot pool!

Superbe Seul bémol : bien/mieux préciser qu’il y a près de 6h de bus À/R, dont une partie sur une route très escarpée
