Don't miss Iceland's must-see tour, the Golden Circle, departing from Reykjavík for a full day of discoveries!
Covering around 300 km of south-west Iceland, the Golden Circle is made up mainly of 3 must-see sites in the country: Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the Geysir geothermal field in the Haukadalur valley; and Gullfoss waterfall, one of the most powerful on the island. If you don't have a car, taking this Golden Circle tour from Reykjavík in a van is just the thing for you!
As well as taking you to some of the most popular sights on any trip to Iceland to admire and take photos, this Golden Circle tour will give you the chance to have lunch at Greehouse Friðheimar Tomato Farm, where you can also meet some beautiful Icelandic horses. You will also have the pleasure of ending your day's tour of the Golden Circle with a relaxing 2-hour visit to the Sky Lagoon, a geothermal spa on the edge of the ocean that offers an exceptional experience!
In total, a 9-hour tour of the Golden Circle awaits you from Reykjavík, including a delicious lunch at Friðheimar and a relaxing break at the Sky Lagoon to make your whole day an unforgettable memory!
- Pick-up at your accommodation in Reykjavík or go directly to the meeting point given by the guide (please contact the guide once your booking has been confirmed to arrange this)
- Drive to Þingvellir National Park (approx. 50 minutes), where you will go for a short hike to the Öxarárfoss waterfall
- Drive to the Haukadalur valley (approx. 45 minutes) to see the geysers at the Geysir geothermal field
- 10-minute drive to the famous Gullfoss waterfall to admire it and take some photos
- Off to Greenhouse Friðheimar Tomato Farm (approx. 25-minute drive) for lunch (meal included in the excursion)
- Return to Reykjavík to reach the Sky Lagoon (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes journey time) in the late afternoon, where you will enjoy a 7-ritual package for around 2 hours
- Return on your own by bus or taxi to the centre of Reykjavík
