Experienced guides will take you on this 3-hour whale watching adventure on a safe and well-equipped boat with warm overalls, heated spacious indoor cabins, a nice bar and WiFi. Departing from the historic Old Harbour in Reykjavik, you will sail into Faxaflói bay in search of Minke and Humpback whales, Dolphins, Harbour porpoises and Killer whales. In addition to these diverse water creatures, you will also experience the spectacular views of the mountains and islands around Reykjavik as well as the wonderful birdlife.

Highlights:

- Find giants in their natural environment in the Atlantic Ocean

- Spot Minke whales, Humpback whales and Dolphins

- See all the other aquatic species, all sorts of wildlife

- Enjoy the splendid scenery around the coast of Iceland

- Informative commentary from experienced guides

Course of events

Please note that you should schedule to be at our departure point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

- We start our trip from a beautiful harbour in the city centre and sail out to Kollafjöður, where you can see the island in the bay.

- Videy Island is known for the Lennon/One Peace tower, Richard Scerra's 'Milestones', and other attractions, along with great birdlife.

- Then we continue on to Faxaflói Bay, popular for whale and bird watching, sea angling, and also great fishing grounds.

The mountain ring seen from the bay, among which Snaefellsjökull Glacier may be spotted on clear days, is particularly beautiful.

We had about 2 hours out at sea. Saw some minke whales and a few dolphins. Unfortunately, no humpback- or other whales were spotted, but that's nature. We had a nice tour guide who was very knowledgeable and a good skipper.

The guide was perfect. He knew so much about all the sea mammals

Erste Tour wg. Wetter abgesagt. Nächsten Tag schon ausgebucht. Am Tag der Tour keine Wale gesehen. Erneut der Tag drauf ausgebucht. Somit 4 Versuche unternommen.

top activity with top company

Unfortunately we did not see any whales, but we saw some dolphins. We knew upfront there is a slim chance to see whales, but they could rename the tour to "Wildlife Watching" instead of Whale Watching

No Wales unfortunatly

Bonne balade en mer, personnel attentif et aux petits soins de ses passagers. Malheureusement pas de baleines ce jour là mais c'est une raison pour revenir en Islande une autre fois.

Brilliant guide, great boat, skillful captain. However no one serving at the bar and the waterproof suits were a bit worn and smelly.

The captain stopped the boat when the whale was near to us, trying to follow slowly the animal

Would do it again!

We saw humpbackwhales and even Somerset orcas! I loved the tour! Unfortunatly we had to do a 1h bustrip in a very crowded bus from the harbor to the actual boat. That was the only negative point.
