Loved for its multi-pitch options that offer free-climbers and sports climbers a chance to test their technique, touch the sky for a breathtaking look at the mighty Mont Blanc...

Location
Corma di Machaby is a glacial crag feature sculpted by the Balteo in the lower Aosta valley. Situated near the rural town of Arnad, it is serviced by the E612 an hours drive from Turin and a local train station in Verrès.

Activity
Meeting locally, this small group climbing trip is suited to experienced climbers with a good technical and practical understanding of sport climbing. Choosing one of over 40 multi-pitch variants (the Arnad wall and the Lomasti pillar being the most famous) varying from E1 - 7a in difficulty, climb elevation is around 250-300 m and the length of the routes is between the 300 - 400 m.

Conditions
A popular sport climbing location, gradients vary widely and a 5+ ability is recommended. The west face is steeper but shorter, where the rock is cracked in dihedrals and pillars, the east wall is longer but with better grips and holds.
