Venture into the Norwegian wilderness on horseback through idyllic fields and stunning mountains on this 6-hour-long day trip! Explore the foothills of Langsua and Jotunheimen National Parks during this hands-on experience!
Once you've arrived at the Myhre Gård farm, you'll be welcomed by your experienced guide who will provide a safety briefing as well as outline the tour's itinerary. When you've packed your saddlebags with food and water, it's time to meet your four-legged friend! Your guide will show you how to brush and saddle the horse. In addition, they will give basic instructions on how to start, stop, and steer. Then, the adventure begins! You and your horse with head off at a steady pace while breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the breathtaking landscapes.
Halfway through the excursion, you'll stop by the shores of Olevann at a traditional mountain farm. After watering and feeding the horses, you'll enjoy a well-deserved break and sit by a roaring campfire with a warm beverage and a delicious bite to eat. Why not upgrade your experience with a hardy 'Wilderness Meal' stew? (Available for an additional fee.) During lunch, your guide is happy to answer any questions you may have about the horses or the area.
When both animals and humans are refreshed, you will begin the trek back to the farm, taking in the magnificent scenery along the way!

Please be advised that a minimum number of 3 participants is required to run each tour. If the number is not reached, you can cancel, rebook, or pay an additional 'private service fee'.
In addition, the lowest experience level of your party is required when booking. Guides will choose the path based on this information. For children and those with no prior riding experience, guides will lead the horses. However, parents can also lead their children's horses and will be provided with a brief introduction by staff.
Upgrade your experience with a delicious "wilderness meal" for an additional fee of 350 NOK per adult or 250 NOK per child.
Special terms
Pick-up and drop-off are available in the area around Beitostølen and Heggenes for an additional fee.
For those that want to share this experience with family or friends but are unsure whether riding is for them, you can still join the trip by walking alongside as a "spectator" at a reduced rate.
