Activity description

Discover the stunning mountains of Norway on horseback and enjoy a campfire break at a farmhouse built in the 1700s on this amazing excursion! Customized for all experience levels, this hands-on activity is fun for the whole family!

Once you've arrived at the farm, you'll be greeted by your knowledgeable guide. They will go through a safety briefing and the tour programme. After you've packed your saddlebags with food and drinks, the fun begins! You'll be introduced to your four-legged friend. Beginners will be provided with a basic introduction to starting, stopping, and steering their horses. After mounting your horse, you'll head out into the wilderness! You and your horse will work as a team, navigating the scenic mountain trails and gravel roads together.

Midway through the excursion, you'll arrive at an ancient mountain farm in Valdres called Heimre Hedalsstølen, where you, your group, and the horses will stop for a well-deserved break. After you've assisted in watering and feeding the animals, you'll head toward a cosy campfire to enjoy a snack and a warm beverage. Please note that a delicious "wilderness meal" is also available for an additional fee and must be ordered in advance.

During lunch, your guide is happy to answer any questions about the animals or the area and might even share stories of their own! With horses and humans refreshed and relaxed, it will be time to trek back to the farm. On the way, you'll admire the views, enjoy the fresh air, and savour the moment!

Connect with nature and animals while exploring Norway's breathtaking mountainous region on this fun-filled horseback riding tour! Book this half-day horse riding excursion near Beitostolen today!
