Experience the stunning landscapes of the Norwegian mountains as you explore them for a whole day on this incredible guided hike to Trolltunga from Skjeggedal! Trolltunga is located in the Hardanger district of western Norway, also known as the kingdom of waterfalls, and it's well known because of the Hardangerfjord, a stunning natural wonder that attracts visitors from all over the world.

On the day of your guided hike to Trolltunga from Skjeggedal, you'll need to arrive at parking lot 2 in Skjeggedal. You can arrive by your own car (parking fees are not included), on the Trolltunga shuttle bus from Odda (which is only 20 minutes away, but you'll have to book in advance), or by taxi. There, you'll meet your expert instructor, who will give you a safety briefing and inform you of the itinerary for the day.

Once you're all set up, it's time to go! You'll start this 20 to 28-kilometer guided hike to Trolltunga from Skjeggedal, by driving towards parking lot 3 in Mågelitoppen, if the weather conditions allow, which will save you around 4 km of hike and 400 vertical meters. From there, you'll start the adventure, which will take you to see stunning views of mountains, fjords, deep valleys, waterfalls, and glaciers, with the added bonus of having your instructor explain historical and general facts about the region and the sights you see. You'll have a few breaks to rest and take pictures, and you'll be able to have a delicious Norwegian lunch, as well as local snacks and hot drinks to keep your strength up.

Now, you must keep in mind that this amazing guided hike to Trolltunga from Skjeggedal will take place in the Norwegian mountains, which means that cold temperatures and even snow tend to be the rule, even during the summer! With this in mind, your expert instructor has created a packing list with all the elements you'll need to be able to spend 10 to 12 hours hiking in Hardanger. The list includes a waterproof jacket, pants, and hiking boots, a warm base layer, two pairs of wool socks, a down jacket or warm sweater, at least 3 liters of water per person, mittens, a hat, and buff, and a 30-liter backpack to carry everything you need. You can check out a full list on the "What to bring" section of this activity. However, the most important thing to remember is that you need to be warm, and so wool clothes and extra layers are recommended for a great experience.

Don't miss out on the beautiful landscapes of Hardanger, with an expert guide who will take you to some amazing lesser-known spots, and a traditional lunch and snacks. Book your guided hike to Trolltunga from Skjeggedal today!
