This trip begins in Stavanger, a vibrant city located on the southwestern coast of Norway, and travels to the nearby Lysefjorden, a stunning fjord renowned for its breathtaking scenery!
The adventure begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Stavanger (please specify your location upon booking). You'll meet the experienced guide and travel in a car to the trailhead at the Preikestolen car park. On the way, you'll drive through the longest and deepest undersea tunnel for cars. You'll also have some scenic views of the beautiful Lysefjord and the Norwegian countryside.
Upon arrival at the starting point in Lysefjorden, the hiking adventure begins! The hiking trail is fitted with chain railings for safety and support, but there are demanding sections along the way. It is suited for those with a good fitness level. You'll walk for approximately 2 hours to Pulpit Rock, voted the world's best viewing platform teetering 604 metres (1,982 feet) above the Lysefjorden. Pulpit Rock, also known as Preikestolen, is a sheer cliff face that juts out over the water.
At Pulpit Rock, you'll enjoy your own packed lunch, snacks, and drinks while marvelling at the impressive view from this mountain face. Don't forget your camera to capture some amazing photos! After the break, you'll hike back down the same way to the starting point at the car. The guide will then drive you to your accommodation in Stavanger.

The trial is relatively easy to follow, but rocks may become slippery depending on the weather. A relatively good fitness level is required.
