- Driver and passenger can swap seats halfway through the journey

- If there are puppies in the kennels, you can visit them and cuddle them
Course of events
Please allow up to 3 hours for the whole experience.
- Meeting with the guide at Into Nature's kennels in Mestervik, at least 15 minutes before the start of the activity (dry toilets available on site)
- Equipment of a thermal suit and winter boots in the base's changing rooms
- Meeting with the dogs as they warm up, with the chance to cuddle them and learn how to harness them
- Briefing on the activity, safety instructions and driving a sled
- Departure for a 1 hour dog sledding excursion on the Malangen peninsula, with a break halfway along the way to swap places between driver and passenger if you wish, cuddle the dogs and take photos
- Back at the kennels, last moments of complicity with your team of sled dogs
- Debriefing of the activity and discussion with your guide in a traditional lavvu tent over a local sweet snack and a hot local drink to round off the activity
Activity requirements
No previous experience is required; however, please be advised that participants must be in reasonable physical condition and have the strength to help the dogs pull the sled.
- Minimum age for driving the sled: 18 years old
- Maximum weight per sled: 264 lbs / 120 kg
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time.
A minimum number of 2 participants is required to run this activity.
Special terms
⚠️ Transportation from Tromsø is not included: you need to make your way to the camp in Malangen.
