Discover one of the most beautiful diving spots in French Polynesia, Tikehau, during half-day exploration dives!

If you are a certified diver and want to dive in a Polynesian atoll, Tikehau is a destination you should not miss. Still preserved and with a very rich and diversified underwater fauna, Tikehau offers great exploration diving opportunities, especially with manta rays in the heart of its lagoon!

With a state certified dive guide to accompany up to 5 divers, you will enjoy a manta ray dive in the Tikehau lagoon in the morning, or two successive dives in the Tuheiava pass in the morning or afternoon, depending on your choice. The Tuheiava pass is an easy dive site, both inbound and outbound, and allows you to observe all kinds of fish such as barracudas or napoleons, turtles, and even impressive sharks (hammerheads, tiger sharks, grey sharks, etc.).

So if you want to discover an incredible underwater fauna in French Polynesia, don't hesitate to go to the Tuamotu archipelago to dive in Tikehau!

Course of events

- Reception at the center for a briefing on the organization of the outing

- Assignment of the equipment and boarding of the boat equipped with an awning

- Navigation to the manta rays site, towards the center of the atoll lagoon

- Launching and diving (immersion between 50 minutes and 1 hour depending on your consumption, the sea conditions and your level)

- Back on the boat and return to the center to debrief

Activity requirements

A minimum of Level 1 diving is required to participate in exploration dives.

Divers over 70 years old will have to provide a medical certificate of no contraindication to diving.

A minimum of 2 participants is required for the outing to take place.

Special terms

You will be asked to fill out a medical questionnaire on site.

As manta rays are wild animals, you may not be able to meet them during the dive.

Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.

Course of events

- Sailing to the pass for 20-25 minutes (or another site depending on weather conditions and divers' level)

- Launching and first dive (immersion between 50 minutes and 1 hour depending on your consumption, the sea conditions and your level)

- One hour break with a snack and exchange with the instructors on board the boat before the second dive (immersion between 50 minutes and 1 hour depending on your consumption, the sea conditions and your level)

- Back on the boat and return to the center to debrief
