You'll be welcomed by a certified local guide, Didier, Christophe, or Bérangère, at Plongée Salée, the only dive centre in L'Étang-Salé. After being fitted with your equipment in a tropical garden setting, you’ll walk a few steps to reach the lagoon. Calm and uncrowded, it’s an ideal snorkelling spot with excellent visibility and diverse marine life.

The snorkelling tour lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on your pace. As you glide above coral formations and swim alongside butterflyfish, your guide will share stories and insights about the ecosystem of L'Étang-Salé and the Réunion marine reserve. The experience is immersive, accessible, and led with passion.

Once back at the centre, take a hot shower, sip a cool drink, and take time to look through fish identification booklets to learn more about the species you've seen. For those who wish, camera rental is available on site to capture your snorkelling moments.
