Discover the stunning waterfalls of the Ranciara River with this river trekking tour with a certified guide, near Taormina. Open to beginners ages 12 and up!

Located between Messina and Taormina, the Ranciara River flows towards the eastern side of Sicily. Thanks to its stunning landscape, the Ranciara River is the perfect place for a river trekking adventure. Natural pools and waterfalls surrounded by a lush forest will leave you breathless!

Your guide will greet you at the meeting point and brief you about the activity. Together, you'll drive to the starting point. You and your guide will descend 2 km of the Ranciara River, spending around 4 hours in the water. The Ranciara River is quite shallow, making it the perfect place for a fun-filled excursion. Along the way, you'll climb a rock, swim in natural pools and admire Sicily's biggest waterfall (20 metres high!). Don't worry if you have never tried river trekking before, your guide will be at your disposal to ensure a fun and safe experience. As you reach the Ranciara waterfall, you'll have time for a relaxing swim and enjoy a picnic on the grass. At the end of this 4-hour river trekking tour on the Ranciara River, you and your guide will return to the cars and autonomously leave.
