Activity description
Ride the gorgeous and biggest sand dunes in the Alexandria Coastal Dune field, the largest dune field in South Africa!
On this 3-hour sandboarding adventure, you will ride some of the biggest dunes in the Eastern Cape on both types of Sandboards, the lie-down board, and the stand-up Snowboard type.
After getting to Sundays River Adventures - 5km from the Addo Elephant National Park - and meeting your guide, you will go on a short scenic boat trip on the Sundays River, during which you will be able to enjoy the beautiful environment and the local birds in their natural habitat. After a 10-minute ride, you will reach the famous Alexandria Dunefield, the largest and most impressive dune field you can see in South Africa!
Your instructor will give you a lesson and help you get started, so no worries if you are a beginner! Sandboarding is great for learning to snowboard since it's a bit slower in the sand and the less polish you apply, the slower you go. It's a fun activity for the whole family and is perfect for all ages!
As the team of Sundays River Adventures says: Life's short, catch a tan!
