Activity description
Whether you are completely new to rafting or if you have already some experience, during this thrilling whitewater adventure on the infamous Rhône, you will get to know the Valais Region from a completely new perspective. Because there's more to it than the famous Matterhorn!
Nature lovers and whitewater sports enthusiasts will enjoy this rafting trip alike as you start your 75-minute ride at the foot of the mighty Rhone Glacier. Enjoy the breathtaking views of picturesque villages, green landscapes and vineyards while the snow-covered glacier hovers above you.
Starting from Susten, you will follow the river for roughly 10 kilometres to the city of Sierre. From there, the river continues for hundreds of kilometres to the lake Geneva and finally all the way down to the Mediterranean Sea… And you will conquer the first few class 2+ and 3+ rapids!
Every raft will be accompanied by a professional guide who is in charge of the boat. At the beginning of the tour, you will get detailed safety instructions and information how to paddle in the water, so you will be able to master the action-packed descents over a series of more than 10 rapids.
