Embark on a captivating sailing journey on Lake Geneva, offering a unique perspective to discover Geneva from a different vantage point. This sailing excursion combines relaxation and pleasure, providing an exceptional introduction to the art of navigation.
For two delightful hours, surrender to the tranquility of sailing on the lake, allowing yourself to unwind and soak in the breathtaking landscape that unfolds between the shimmering waters and majestic mountains. Marvel at Geneva from an entirely different angle, catching glimpses of iconic landmarks such as the famous water jet and the natural beauty of the lake.
Lake Geneva is truly a water body of superlatives. Boasting the mildest climate, it is the largest lake and holds the most water in Central Europe. Known as "Lac Léman" in French, it derives its name from the Celts who referred to it as "Large Water" or "Lem an". With its expansive 582 km² surface area, the lake is traversed by scheduled boats, historic paddle steamers, and charming ferries, all of which contribute to its record-breaking allure.
During this activity, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn to sail in complete safety
- Sail the sparkling waters of Lake Geneva, away from the shores of Geneva
- Appreciate and understand this unique environment and its impact on navigation
- Take advantage of the opportunity to swim, weather and temperature permitting, and immerse yourself in the refreshing waters.
- Experience a unique moment and discover a new passion!
- Departure from Port des Pâquis
- Board the sailboat and discover its special features
- Hoist the sails and set off on your adventure
- Discover the Pâquis lighthouse, the charming harbors and sail close to the water jet for total immersion in the heart of the port.
- Sail further afield and learn the art of sailing
- Relax on the vast expanse of water, with the option of a swim, depending on weather conditions and temperature.
- Return to port, concluding your memorable voyage
- Cancellation is only possible in the event of adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds or storms. The decision will be taken by the experienced skipper, and in this case we will be happy to reschedule your excursion to a more appropriate time.
