Activity description
Experience the serenity of gliding over the surface of Lake Geneva on a kayak during a half-day tour. Take in the stunning beaches, observe the local fauna, and admire the architecture along the way.
After familiarizing ourselves with the kayak and equipment, we will embark on a journey to explore the riverbanks. Your guide will share their secret spots and provide insights into the surroundings.
Depending on the weather, we will take one of the following routes:
- The mouth of the Aubonne River and its wildlife.
- A tour towards Île de la Harpe.
The mouth of the Aubonne River is considered the last natural alluvial area of Lake Geneva. The river rushes into the lake, bringing along its rounded stones after descending from the valley that bears its name. Located in the communes of Allaman and Buchillon and surrounded by a small forest, the Aubonne's mouth still retains its relatively natural state.
Île de la Harpe is a man-made island within Lake Geneva, belonging to the municipality of Rolle in the canton of Vaud. Established in 1837 to commemorate the death of political leader Frédéric-César de La Harpe in 1838, the island was named in his honor.
