Meet your pilot in the Swiss countryside for a scenic hot air balloon flight near Zurich. An exciting experience that can be organised for groups of friends, families and couples, your experience starts in the Swiss Plateau, watching the team as they ready the basket and start to inflate the balloon. Once fully inflated, you will step inside the carriage and the ground team will release the anchors, allowing you to glide gently and slowly into the air. With your pilot in total control, all you have to do is enjoy the view – watching the sun either rise or fall over the Alps – an advantage afforded by the seasonal nature of ballooning so close to the mountain range. Unlike any other aerial flight, your destination is unknown, allowing the balloon to be directed by the weather and offering unexpected surprises as you cruise past stunning landmarks along the way. The pilot can influence the course of the balloon by climbing or descending into different currents of air. The pilot is in permanent radio contact with the ground crew, which will meet with the balloon at the landing position. On touchdown, the equipment will be packed away and guests can enjoy a glass of fizz or light refreshments to celebrate the experience.
In summer, the flights take place after sunrise or before sunset, in spring and fall the flights are scheduled in afternoon hours. Overall, 5 to 8 hours of time, have to be planned. Meeting time and place will be informed by the flight crew the day before (first passenger briefing is available 2 days before the flight).
