The ArcelorMittal Orbit offers extraordinary 20-mile views and stands as the UK's tallest sculpture. So why not get crazy and make your way down its 35,000 bolts in this abseiling activity you will be sure to never forget!
Your abseiling instructor will look after you every step of the way. You will meet on site and go over all of the important safety guidelines and equipment. Using the safest rigging system conceivable, your instructor will coax you over the edge and help you with your first steps down. The view as you lower yourself towards the ground is truly spectacular. A GoPro will be available to rent for the duration of your abseil so you can keep the memories for a lifetime.
Participants should arrive 30 mins prior to the scheduled slot.
Spectators can watch from the rooftop cafe at ‘The Last Drop’ or from inside the ArcelorMittal Orbit (entry fee required, not included).
Small lockers are available for personal belongings but are left at your own risk.Activity requirements
Weight limit: 19 stone and must be able to fit in the harness.
If you are pregnant, unfortunately, you cannot take part in the abseil.
Participants under the age of 18 require parental consent.
Open toe shoes, flip-flops, or high heels are not permitted.
Your shoulders, midriff, and upper legs should be covered (no loose clothing).
Long hair must be tied back. Jewellery and scarves must be removed.
