Turning the dream into a day job, Ioannis Pistikos founded SkyTrips in 2013. After for than 10 years of XC flying, he decided to take his hobby pro and help tourists explore the stunning Drama countryside of inland Greece.

Located on the northeast edge of Greece, Drama is renowned for its friendly hospitality and peaceful pace of living. Surrounded by mountains, plains, beautiful forests, tobacco fields, wineries, rivers and streams, it also an amazing landscape to discover from above.

Only 150km from Thessaloniki, Drama has become a sanctuary for mini breakers looking to explore deeper into the Grecian countryside. A picturesque landscape on the slopes mountain Falakro, it is a popular take off location for paragliders due to its consistent updrafts and jaw-dropping views.

If you’re looking for somewhere unspoilt, this region has plenty to offer, although with major developments on the horizon such as the opening of Hydrama (first 5-star hotel) chances are this may not be Greece’s secret for much longer.

Home to the PWC championships in 2010, Drama has continued to be one of the best places to paraglide in this area of Greece - offering something for scenic fliers and XC speed demons alike.
