Practical information
Venture into the heart of the rainforest for a canyoning descent in the island's most varied canyon, with jumps, a few abseils and accessibility for all the family.
Features of the canyon :
- Approach walk: 15 minutes
- Length of descent: 1.5 to 2.5 hours
- Return walk: 20 minutes
- Number of abseils: 3
- Maximum height: 12 metres
Course of events
- Meet the instructor at the meeting point
- Participants are equipped with the necessary gear
- 15-minute approach walk to the canyon
- Descent of the Absalon canyon
- 20-minute walk back to the meeting point
- De-equipping and end of the activity
Activity requirements
We recommend that you are in good physical condition to fully enjoy this activity.
Children can participate from the age of 7 and must be at least 130 cm tall.

Practical information
Supervised by a certified TropiCanyon instructor, you will go for a friendly and sportive half-day under the sign of sharing and discovery. You will descend the canyon of Absalon, one of the most beautiful canyons of initiation of Martinique, close to Fort-de-France and with a beautiful waterfall at the beginning. It is a complete canyon, perfect for a first approach in canyoning or for a half-day trip with family or friends in the rain forest of Martinique.
Discover various jumps, abseils (up to 15 metres), slides, swimming and obstacle courses, etc. You'll even have the opportunity to have an extraordinary view of a rift carved into the volcanic conglomerate hidden in the heart of the canyon!
If you want to spend a fun half-day discovering Martinique's wildlife, canyoning in the Absalon canyon is definitely the best option!

C'était notre première expérience canyoning et nous en sommes revenus enchantés. L'activité était complète dans un esprit de convivialité et de détente. Nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés entre autres avec le toboggan bache installé par Jérôme. Nous avons apprécié son professionnalisme et sa gentillesse, il a su rassurer lors de moments d'hésitations.
Et le petit apéro de fin de journée a été un moment de partage supplémentaire bien agréable.
