Canyoning in Kamikaze near Cape Town

Experience a full day canyoning adventure with a 65-metre waterfall abseil! During the course of the outing, you'll execute jumps from 3 to 22 metres high and take part in a scenic hike.

The day is spent in the Kogelberg biosphere reserve which is characterised by exciting adventures, beautiful scenery, towering cliffs and rock pools.

You'll start with a pleasant drive to The Grille Shack @ Pitstop Lodge, Gordon's Bay and savour a hearty breakfast on arrival. After a quick safety briefing, you'll enter into the Steenbras River Gorge and start the 45-minute hike through beautiful fynbos to the first cliff jumping pools.

During this canyoning activity in Kamikaze, you'll spend an hour doing the various jumps and will then head off on the second hike, taking you to the top of the gorge to conquer the 65-meter waterfall abseil.

After the abseil, you'll break for lunch on the banks of the river. The hike back to the pools will take about 30 minutes. You'll then be able to take on the exhilarating jumps once more, before making your way back and heading back to Pitstop Lodge for your refreshing drink.
