This Canyoning excursion in Grimsel is suitable for active people who are looking for an adventure in nature!
- Compulsory 50m (164ft) guided rappel at the start to enter the canyon.
- Ziplining, jumps (up to 8m/26ft) and slides (up to 4m/13ft).
Course of events
The whole activity including changing clothes and transport from Interlaken to Grimsel and back takes 5.5 hours with up to 2 hours in the gorge.
- Be ready for pick up 15 minutes before your trip time or
- Meet your guide at the base in Interlaken 5 minutes before trip time
- First briefing
- Prepare canyoning equipment
- Drive to the Grimsel Pass (1 hr)
- Change into canyoning gear at the canyon location
- Instructions, comprehensive safety talk
- Canyoning – approx. 2 hrs. in the canyon.
- Free light lunch and a drink
- Drive back to the base

Good health is required to participate. Swimming ability is recommended but not required.
- Maximum weight : 125 kg (275lbs).
Special terms
There are no facilities at the start of the trip, we get changed in an open field. It helps to have your swimwear on underneath your clothes before you depart Interlaken.

The Grimsel Gorge, also known as the Aareschlucht (Aare Gorge), is a spectacular natural wonder located near Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. It is a deep and narrow gorge carved over thousands of years by the Aare River, which originates from glaciers in the Grimsel Pass.
Your canyoning excursion in the Grimsel Gorge starts with a 50m rappel into the gorge and continues with amazing jumps, awesome ziplines, and cool slides. As for the other obstacles, you have the choice between 4m or 8m (26ft) jumps and a slide of 4m (13ft).
