Jeep Safari near Agiofarago and Matala starting from Heraklion

Your way takes you through the plain of Messara, the production site of one famous Greek olive oil and the homeland of the indigenous Messara horse. Your tour group will make a stop in the traditional village of Siva to enjoy a drink or get the essentials for the rest of the day. A short distance from Siva hides the charming Odigitria Monastery between the surrounding idyllic hills. This is one of the most important monasteries in Crete, built in the 14th century. Once you arrive in Agiofarago, or the gorge of the Saints, you will leave your four-wheel drive at the parking lot and continue on foot. Your group will follow the path crossing this magnificent gorge, scattered with imposing oleanders and olives until you reach the beautiful beach and the Libyan Sea, inviting you to enjoy a swim and refresh yourself.
