This incredible canyoning excursion at Tsoutsouros Gorge guarantees adventure pure and lots of fun for everyone!
The beautiful and technical canyon is suitable for beginners and children (older than 12yo). The abseils are initially short and easy, ideal for getting used to the techniques and the use of the equipment. Gradually, however, they become longer and steeper.
Perfectly located in South Crete and more specifically in the area of the Municipality of Viannos, the Tsoutsouros gorge is surrounded by more than 10 further gorges and is the perfect spot for a day full of excitement. This is an incredible opportunity for a canyoning experience in one of the best spots Greece has to offer.
When you arrived from Heraklion, you will follow a short hike from the parking spot to reach the entrance to the canyon at the position Sfakias. During our descent through the canyon, you will be mind-blown by the fantastic view of the constantly changing terrain and the turquoise blue sea. Depending on the weather conditions, you may find water in the gorge until the beginning of summer which will give you the amazing chance of abseiling through spectacular waterfalls. The exit of the gorge is at the south coast of Crete, at Tsoutsouros village.
The duration of the descent can vary from 3 to 4 hours depending on the experience of the group.
