Alaska State law requires all ATV drivers to be 16 years of age or older. Denali ATV Adventures allows: For a single ATV, you mist be 18 to drive, but 16 with parental permission and a valid Driver’s License. Side by Side ATV – 18 to drive with a valid Driver’s License.
Minors and Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
This tour is not recommended for anyone with neck or back issues or for women who are pregnant. If you have any of these conditions, please consult a doctor before booking a tour.
Your instructor provides a free shuttle service from Denali to the meeting point. Please consult their Shuttle Schedule to find out where and when you can be picked up. You can aldo bring your car, there will be free parking at the meeting point.
Keep in mind that though you will be surrounded by Denali National Park, you will drive around it, not inside it.
If you need it, your instructor can provide a forward-facing car seat (for use with children at least 1 year old and 35 lbs & up (16 kg & up)) and/or booster seat (For use with children over 4 years old and 50 lbs & up (23 kg & up)) for small children upon request. Children should be in the same type of seat they use in a car. Limited quantities, please reserve in advance.
Pets are not allowed to join this activity.

If you want to get to know the stunning mountain, forest, glacier, and lake landscapes in Alaska, as well as its incredible northern wilderness, you can't miss this guided buggy/quad adventure around Denali National Park! Denali National Park is located in Alaska's interior, and it encompasses 6 million acres of this northern United States state. It is home to Denali Mountain, the world's tallest peak at over 20,000 feet high (6000 meters), but this wild region also provides refuge to fauna such as grizzly bears, wolves, moose, caribou, and Dall Sheep.
On the day of your guided buggy/quad adventure around Denali National Park, your instructor offers you a free shuttle service from the accommodation areas in Denali, which will pick you up at a specific location and take you to the tour's starting point. Once you're with your knowledgeable guide, they'll give you a short safety and activity briefing, where they'll tell you exactly where you're going (the destinations might change according to weather conditions), and what to do in order to have an amazing day. Then, they'll distribute the quads or buggies, helmets, gloves, and goggles, and give the drivers in the group some time to adjust to driving the vehicles.
Once you're all set up, it's time to go! You'll start your 2.5-hour guided buggy/quad adventure around Denali National Park, by following your certified guide along the designated route and driving at speeds up to 30 mph (50 kmh), and heading to stunning viewpoints where you'll get 360 degree views over the Alaska Mountain Range, Otto Lake, and the Healy Valley. You'll get to drive this all-terrain vehicle over rocky creek beds, and, depending on the time of year, even splash over small rivers and puddles! You'll get around 1.5 hours of driving time, and the rest of the tour will be spent at the beautiful places you visit, and if you're lucky enough to spot a wild animal, you'll stop to observe them as well.
To drive on this guided buggy/quad adventure around Denali National Park, you'll need to be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver's license, which you must bring on the day of the activity. Most of the time, only participants who are 18 years and older will be able to drive, but with parental authorization, you might be able to drive a single ATV! You should also bring warm layers, closed-toe shoes, rain gear, a bottle of water, some snacks, and anything else you might need (medication, sunscreen, etc.) to spend about 3 hours on the whole on this amazing experience!
