Live a different experience in the snow with this igloo construction in Grau Roig, near Grandvalira, Andorra!
Grandvalira, in Andorra, is the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees. Open all year round, in Grandvalira you can do snow activities such as skiing and snowmobiling as well as zip-lining and hiking. If you are passionate about snow, but skiing is not your thing, we propose a very original activity: building an igloo!
RocRoi instructors will guide you in the construction of an igloo in Grandvalira. In addition to providing you with all the necessary material, before starting they will give you a theoretical lesson on how to build an igloo as well as the history of igloos. Then, during the activity, they will help you with the construction, which will be by blocks or by compaction depending on the snow at that moment. At the end of the activity, you can even go inside your own igloo!
Feel like an Eskimo and build an igloo in Grandvalira, Andorra!
- Arrival at the reception of the RocRoi premises, which you will find in the beige YURTA located near the parking area, identifiable with white "Grandvalira Mountain Park RocRoi" flags and giant inflatable arches with the ROCROI and GRANDVALIRA logos.
- Confirmation of the booking at reception and distribution of the material.
- The guide will take you to the construction area and start the theoretical class and a little bit of history of igloos. The guide will give you the necessary instructions to start building, solve your doubts and help you with the construction.
- You will be able to enter the igloo once you have finished.
Activity requirements
Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Special terms
It is recommended to store backpacks or clothes that you do not need in your vehicle, but you can also store them in the same facility.
Depending on the snow at the time, either a block igloo or compaction will be built.
