The Styrian Salza is scenically one of the most attractive and beautiful rafting rivers in Europe. The river is one of the few rivers in the world that can be navigated by a rafting boat or canoe and at the same time have drinking water quality. Pure nature with a sporty touch!
It is also one of the most popular rafting rivers in Austria. Depending on the section of the route and the water level, the level of difficulty varies between whitewater 1-2 and whitewater 2-4 and can be navigated throughout with a rafting boat, kayak or canoe over a distance of approx. 45 kilometers. This offers the unique opportunity to offer tours for nature lovers as well as for action freaks.
Fine sandy bays, gorges of conglomerate rock, narrow passages and many impressive places - all this rafting offers on the Styrian Salza. An extraordinary nature experience and in this way unique in Austria.
The tour offers some highlights throughout the ride - with action-filled fun and more calm passages to enjoy the views. Even at low water levels, the tours involve sharp maneuvers on the waves of the river, as you can opt for mini-rafts to keep the adrenaline high.
The route distances vary depending on the water level of the river between 12 and 25 km. The tours last between 3 to 7 hours, including introduction briefing, set up of equipment, ride on the river, and return to the base.
