Activity description
This action packed adventure while suitable for beginners requires a certain level of athleticism and good overall conditioning. The combo experience will take you to two of the best spots in Europe in one day. The Imst Gorge and Ötztaler Ache.
You will meet your certified guide and fellow rafters at the aquaMonte Basis. Once everyone's gotten acquainted, its time to get ready. You will receive your wetsuit, helmet, Life vest and neoprene boots. Then its into the bus and off to the Launch Site.
Once there, your guide will go over the proper techniques and protocols. You’ll do a few dry runs as a team and then it's onto the water and into the action. The first portion of the day will have you tackling the Imst Gorge. While challenging this is merely the preparation stage. You and the team will practice a range of manoeuvres and tactics. Everything from boat flips to white water swims, all of which you will need later that day. After about 2.5 hours on the river, you'll have successfully tackled the Imst Gorge and its back to the Basis for Lunch.
Once everyone's rested and replenished, it’s out to the Ötztaler Ache for the second and most challenging raft of the day. Undoubtedly one of the best rafting spots in Europe it will take 150% to make it through and adrenaline is guaranteed. The pull of the Constructa or the minefield of rapids that is the Waldschlucht are just a few of the highlights you'll encounter. 6.5 hours after you first took on the Imst Gorge you will be released from the river and have completed the challenge. Tackling 24km of Europe's most challenging white water and rapids up to class IV.
