Practical information
The bay of Alcudia, in the north of Mallorca, is one of the main destinations for water sports in Mallorca along with the bay of Palma de Mallorca, due to its white sands that make them easy to access and its gentle winds, creating the perfect conditions especially for the initiation or improvement of this type of sport. Although the bay of Alcudia is one of the most famous in Mallorca, there are still some lesser known beaches, such as Alcanada Island, perfect for those looking to escape the tourist crowds.
Wind Pirates instructors take you to discover this secret beach in Mallorca on a fun guided stand up paddle tour to the island of Alcanada. At the Inmood Aucanada hotel, where you'll meet them, they'll hand out the paddle surf board, paddle and life jacket and explain basic stand up paddle techniques and safety before starting the activity. From here, you will start the stand up paddle route to the Aucanada Lighthouse, where you will make a first stop at the beach and where you will have time to snorkel if you wish. The tour will continue to the small cove of Es Faralló, located at the exit of an old Civil War bunker and, after another stop, it will be time to return to the starting point.
Although the stand up paddle is a sport that does not present much difficulty, some previous experience is recommended, as it is a 2 and a half hour excursion through the sea that will require all your effort and a great deal of balance and strength in your arms. This is also why the minimum age for this activity is 12 years old.
Enjoy one of the most fun and complete water sports while discovering the bay of Alcudia in Mallorca with this guided stand up paddle tour to the island of Alcanada!
