Also known as off-piste cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing in the Saguenay offers a superb winter getaway in Quebec from Sainte-Rose-du-Nord!

An extraordinary off-piste cross-country skiing adventure awaits you from Sainte-Rose-du-Nord, an activity adapted to your level so you can make the most of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean backcountry in winter. Between frozen rivers, white forests and Canadian mountains, you will spend half a day or a full day discovering off-piste cross-country skiing in the Saguenay region, in secret backcountry spots with your experienced guide.

As you glide across the snow on your skis and poles, you will be able to take time to admire your surroundings and enjoy a moment of rejuvenation in the calm of winter, a truly panoramic walk. It is up to you to choose which of the 3 adventures below will suit you best (initiation, discovery or off-piste adventure) so that you can spend some memorable moments discovering Nordic skiing in the Saguenay region!

The initiation option is designed for beginners or those wishing to take up cross-country skiing in complete safety, with a guide who will show you and interpret the most beautiful parts of the hinterland

Course of events

- Meeting with the guide at the Aventure Rose-des-Vents hostel

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Departure for around 3 hours of Nordic skiing adapted to the level of the group

- Return to the auberge and end of the activity

Nordic ski equipment is not included in the service: it is imperative to rent your ski equipment BEFORE arriving in Sainte-Rose-du Nord (you can rent it at the Boutique Hors Circuits).
