Discover and learn the basics of winter camping in Sainte-Rose-du-Nord, on the shores of the Saguenay Fjord in Quebec!
A local guide and lover of the great outdoors invites you to take part in an extraordinary adventure, introducing you to winter camping in Saguenay, starting in Sainte-Rose-du-Nord. Thanks to this immersion in Quebec's wilderness, you will spend a night sleeping in the open-air, in a tent in the heart of the Fjord-du-Saguenay National Park. The incredible thing is that, if you follow your guide's advice to the letter, you will find this winter experience very comfortable and safe, and discover the pleasures of the Quebec winter like few others before you!
This winter camping experience in the Saguenay region will be set back from the picturesque village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord, between the frozen Saguenay Fjord and the mountains of Quebec. Here you will be able to enjoy some incredible scenery, including a sunset and a sunrise over the fjord. Thanks to your professional guide, you will be able to discover places you have never visited before and do so with the simplicity of winter camping.

- Meeting with the guide at the Aventure Rose-des-Vents hostel
- Introduction to the basics of winter camping
- Equipment preparation
- Departure for a snowshoe hike of approximately 3 km
- Overnight winter camping in tents
- Return to the hostel the next morning after breakfast
- Return of borrowed winter camping equipment and end of the activity
Activity requirements
You must be in good physical condition to participate in this activity: you must be able to walk 3 kilometres on snowshoes carrying a backpack of about 50 litres.
A minimum number of 3 participants is required for this activity to take place.
