Paragliding from the Izaña take-off in Tenerife, the highest glide in the country!

In the Teide National Park, you'll find the Izaña take-off, known for being the highest flight in Spain. So if you're a thrill-seeker, you can't miss this paragliding flight to see the highest peak in Spain.

Outdoors Tenerife offers you a paragliding flight over the Orortava Valley. You will take off from Izaña, the highest point of the peninsula, from an altitude of 2,200 metres, to land gently in Puerto de la Cruz. You will fly over the natural landscape of Los Campeches, Tigaiga and Ruiz, of great beauty thanks to its marvellous views and its laurel forests, an endemic flower only found in the Canary Islands, Madeira and the Azores.

Paragliding is a non-motorised aerial sport in which the pilot steers a wing, taking advantage of the air currents. It is an activity suitable for the whole family, for which no previous experience is required, as you will be accompanied by a certified professional expert in the area who will ensure that the activity runs smoothly. However, it is important that you are not afraid of heights and that you like strong emotions.

Das Paragliding war ein absolut atemberaubendes Erlebnis. Die Abholung und Kommunikation mit den Guides war reibungslos über WhatsApp möglich (auf Englisch und spanisch sowie einem Schweizer Fahrer) Treffpunkt, Uhrzeit und vor allem die Besprechung über den aktuellen Wetterzustand war super einfach. Ursprünglich war geplant am 27.05. die Tour zu machen, da die Wetterbedingungen auf dem Teide allerdings nicht optional waren, wurde in Rücksprache mit Mauri (dem Guide) der Flug auf den 29.05. verschoben. Trotz etwas Höhenangst, die schnell verflogen ist, war der Flug von Izana aus nach Puerto de la Cruz wundervoll.
