Practical information

Discover scuba diving during your 20-minute first dive with your personal instructor. The whole activity takes 2 hours 15 minutes.

Course of events

Please allow a total of 2h15 on site.

Arrive 15 minutes early
Welcome and preparation: When you arrive, an instructor will give you a warm welcome. You can relax in the Thalassa's rooftop bar overlooking the port before being fitted with your equipment (wetsuit, mask, etc.). The bottles will already be ready on board.
Boat trip: It takes around 15-20 minutes on board a semi-rigid boat to reach the dive spot.
Briefing and safety: On board the boat, a briefing will explain what to do underwater, the safety instructions and the sensations to expect for a dive in complete confidence.
A 20-minute dive to a depth of 6 metres (or less, depending on your age): Head to a carefully selected site for a supervised dive. Explore the seabed, observe fish, moray eels and starfish, and enjoy a magical moment underwater. You'll be alone with the instructor for personalised supervision.
Snorkelling (optional): Extend your adventure with a snorkelling session lasting around 40 minutes to discover more marine wonders at the surface.
Return and debriefing: Back in port, share your impressions with your instructor, ask any questions you may have, and receive advice on how to continue the adventure.

Activity requirements

Minors must present parental authorisation to take part.

You don't need to be able to swim to take part in this first dive, but you do need to be comfortable in the water.

For this activity, you must not have any of the following contraindications: respiratory problems (exertional asthma), heart problems, ENT problems, lung problems, diabetes or epilepsy. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us or ask for medical advice.

Special terms

Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Alternatively, ask your optician if you would like to wear contact lenses during the activity.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.

This activity is not suitable for pregnant women.

Pets are not allowed to take part in this activity.

Accessible from the age of 8, this first scuba dive experience in Calvi is designed for people with no previous experience of scuba diving. You don't even need to know how to swim, just be comfortable in the water and want to explore the magic of the underwater world!
