A complete experience combining technical climbing on a 40m tree and wildlife observation in Monteverde for 3 hours.

Course of events

Please allow 3 hours on site for the entire experience.

Pick-up by your guide and comfortable transport to the site (15 to 20 minutes)
Outfitting with harness and safety helmet followed by a briefing on climbing techniques (15 minutes)
Short approach walk to observe the sunset and the transition of life in the forest
Climbing session on the 40-metre illuminated Ficus tree with panoramic views from the heights

About the activity

The highlight of this outing is the spectacular ascent of a majestic Ficus tree standing 40 metres tall. Illuminated from within its own hollow trunk, this tree becomes a unique natural light structure, offering a new perspective of the forest. Equipped with a harness and a helmet, you will safely climb through its intertwined roots to reach exceptional viewpoints of the canopy under the stars. To end this adventure on a high note, you will share a traditional campesino dinner.

The season runs year-round, offering different moods between the starry nights of the dry season and the misty atmosphere of the rainy season.
