Discover the real Crete on two wheels with Quad Safari Peninsula! Meet fantastic people, eat delicious food, and learn what Cretan customs are all about! An adventure for all, family or friends, couples or lone wolves! Drive your way through breathtaking landscapes without a worry in the world…
Take this unique opportunity to explore a part of Crete not as a tourist, but as an explorer with a multilingual guide who’ll be there for you all the way, explaining the mysteries behind the ghost city of Achlada and the traditional village of Folede. You’ll even get a chance to speak to the last three residents of the ghost village, but don’t worry, it won’t be spooky!
You’ll have an initiation course in quad driving, and then you’ll be out in the wild, remote, and natural roads where traffic doesn’t exist; except when it comes to sheep, of course. The sea and the mountains await you!
The duration of actually quad biking is approximately 2 hours.
Course of events
- Meeting at 09:15/14:15 to prepare, get your helmets and have an initiation driving course
- Departure at 09:30/14:30
- 10:00/15:00 stop in Achlada (ghost village). There you'll learn about the village's history and you'll meet the remaining residents
- 10:30/15:30 back on the road
- 11:15/16:15 stop in Folede, walk around, test the local products and look for handmade souvenirs! Try some Meze or some orange juice! (not included in the price)
Activity requirements
Participants must be less than 120 kg per quad
Drivers must be 18+ years old and have a driver's licence with them
Special terms
You can bring your camera, but you're allowed to take photos only when you stop, not while you're driving (safety first!)
