For this snorkeling activity departing from Heraklion, you'll leave the harbor aboard a well-equipped Suzuki 300 hp RIB (fridge, shower, music player, etc.). Once you arrive near the island of Dia, you'll be provided with quality equipment certified by the Bureau Veritas. The instructors will show you the equipment before guiding you through your first snorkeling steps on Dia Island.
Dia Island is a nature reserve with transparent waters averaging 22°C and spectacular scenery. The island lies 30 minutes by boat north of Heraklion in the Cretan Sea. As it is a protected marine sanctuary, you'll be able to admire a rich underwater fauna during your snorkeling activity near Dia.
Horizon Diving's certified and experienced team will be there to accompany you throughout this private snorkeling discovery in Dia. The instructors will be on hand to give you all the advice you need for an unforgettable experience! Then, after you've had your fill of swimming in the waters of the Cretan Sea, you can enjoy a snack from the comfort of the boat.

To take part in this activity, you do not need to be a proper swimmer, but you need to be able to float and be comfortable in the water.
Maximum number of people per group: 5
If some guests from the group don't participate in the snorkeling, the price doesn't change. They can stay on the boat and enjoy the sunshine and calmness of the sea from there.
Special terms
This activity is not recommended for pregnant people or those with health problems.
Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Otherwise, please ask your optician if you wish to wear contact lenses during the activity.
📍If you have your own car, the meeting point for this snorkeling activity is Marina Port Gouves. If you don't have a car, you can be picked up from your accommodation if it is not more than 15km distance from Heraklion city center or Gouves. If you need transfer, please contact the instructor once your booking is confirmed.
Participants can bring their own camera (Gopro, phone...) and can also rent waterproof camera gear at the diving center.
