Set against the mountainous backdrop of the Asterousia Mountains lies the Kapetanianá via ferrata, the only via ferrata in Crete. It features a technical route that begins with steel steps and ladders, then continues solely along the cable, requiring participants to use the rock face for support. It is therefore a sporting activity, reserved for those aged 18 and over who already have experience of via ferrata. Those who take on the challenge find themselves in a wild and deserted environment, yet one that is stunning, offering panoramic views of Ágios Ioánnis Bay and the Mediterranean Sea. Would you be tempted by this adventure?
If so, what are you waiting for? Come and join the NatureSoul Adventures team at the start of the Kapetanianá via ferrata! You will be welcomed by an experienced instructor, certified in sport and traditional climbing (H.F.M.C. – Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing), ensuring high-quality guidance. They will provide you with all the necessary equipment for the activity (helmet, harness, carabiners) and advise you at every stage of the route. There will be a maximum of 4 participants, allowing you to make the most of the adventure at your own pace and in a friendly atmosphere. The bonus? You will round off the experience in style with a swim nearby, just to cool off and relax before continuing with the rest of your day!
So if you fancy pushing yourself to the limit during your stay in Crete, don’t miss the chance to tackle the Kapetanianá via ferrata, located at the opposite of Heraklion!
