About the activity

On the day of your e-bike tour to Sfinari from Kissamos, in Crete's wild west, you'll need to arrive at the meeting point in the Fit in Crete headquarters in central Kissamos. Then, your instructor will introduce themselves and give you a quick introduction to the use of electric mountain bikes, as well as a few safety recommendations for the journey. Once you're ready, you'll set off on this amazing e-bike tour!

From Kissamos' city center, you'll head up into a quiet road, flanked by olive groves along a narrow valley. The route on this e-bike tour around Crete circles around the foothills of the Manna mountain, and eventually opens up over the coast. From there, you'll have staggering views towards the distant islets North of Falasarna, towards Balos, and beyond. Looking West, the road winds up and down over the coast.

Your e-bike excursion from Kissamos will continue as you spot a remote pebble beach with unbelievable blue waters and stop for a break, a swim, or just to admire the landscapes. And after a long downhill section, you'll arrive at the traditional coastal village of Sfinari, where the fish tavernas hang out freshly caught octopi to cure. After a short break, you'll ride back up the coastal road, and at the top of the hill, you'll take a detour to explore the farming area and the tiny hamlets that characterize this region. This is where the locally renowned onions of Gramvousa and the domesticated Stamnagathi, a bitter wild herb, are grown!
