Your adventure begins at one of the listed meeting points in Saariselkä (please specify when booking). You and your group (a maximum of 10 participants) will board the minibus for the scenic drive to the base camp in Ivalo where you will put on your winter gear, including thermal overalls, boots, and a balaclava. After a safety and itinerary briefing from your guide, you'll head to the small village of Koppelo. Then, the fun starts!
You'll take a seat on a sled, covered by warm reindeer pelts, and be pulled by your guide's snowmobile across the frozen landscapes of Lake Inari. If luck is on your side, you'll be graced by the dancing colours of the Northern Lights. Once you've arrived at Aurora Island, you'll meet and feed the adorable reindeer. With a traditional wooden cottage and teepee as a backdrop, you'll be seated around a roaring campfire as your guide prepares a delicious dinner (vegetarian options are available, please specify when booking). You'll savour the silence of the Arctic and its incredible night sky as you sip on a hot drink, making lifelong memories.
