The Semnoz descent is a great classic of downhill mountain biking in Haute-Savoie. And for those who like something new to enjoy, La Maison du Vélo offers to ride it down on an electrically assisted mountain bike! The VTTAE allows you to pedal without straining, even in the wind, and thus makes the discipline accessible to the greatest number of people!

You will set off to discover the Semnoz, near Annecy, in the company of an instructor who knows the massif like the back of his hand. He will guide you and advise you on the techniques to adopt on your electric mountain bike, and will brief you on the safety protocols so that you can enjoy the descent to the full. You will be treated to an exceptional panorama of Lake Annecy, the Aravis mountain range on the other side, the Bauges mountain range, and of course Mont Blanc in the background!

You will start the tour by the edge of Lake Annecy, in an urban environment, then you will gradually climb towards the Semnoz forest. The route combines technical and rolling sections, with a very varied but always very pleasant terrain, even in the difficult sections. The majority of the course is in the undergrowth, but you will have great views of Lake Annecy from time to time. The descent will alternate between wide tracks, narrow paths and forest tracks which represent the diversity of the circuit. Depending on what you want to do, you will either head for the Col de la Forclaz or the Roc de Cher.
