Experience a wild escapade during a snowshoe hike in Semnoz, near Annecy!
Do you want to enjoy an exceptional panorama of the Alps and the lakes of Annecy and Bourget? Thanks to this snowshoe hike near Annecy, you will enjoy 3 hours of walking through this magnificent scenery.
To do this, meet at 10:30 am at the Semnoz, at the Courant d'Ere chalet. From there, you will follow the ski slopes of the Semnoz Nordic area, then head towards the paragliding departure area to admire the view of the Albanais and the Lac du Bourget. You will continue towards the alpine chalets of Gruffy, then up the snow slopes to the southern end of the plateau. Depending on the weather, you may have a lunch break here.
Then the adventure continues with a short climb to the Crêt de l'Aigle (1646 m), the highest point of the day, from where you can enjoy the panorama of the Bauges and Bornes massifs, as well as the geological features of the Semnoz. Finally, you will be able to see the chalets of Vernettes and then cross the forest towards the chalets of Leschaux before returning to your starting point.

End of the hike around 2:30 pm, return to the Courant d'Ere chalet.
Activity requirements
- Be in good general physical condition, i.e. take part in a sporting activity or walk 1 hour per week.
Special terms
Regarding the meeting point: Park in a row in the spaces provided along the D41. Possibility of carpooling (contact the guide).
- Organisational costs and supervision by a professional mountain leader
- The provision of a pair of snowshoes and a pair of sticks for the day
- Picnic lunch
- Personal expenses (snacks, drinks, etc., please bring cash)
- Travel to and from your home to the meeting point and dispersal
- Hiking shoes with high uppers and grippy Vibram soles
- Gaiters
- Technical and warm socks, preferably without cotton
- Long winter hiking or cross-country skiing jersey
- Tights or trousers for winter hiking or cross-country skiing
- 20-30L backpack
- Thermal jacket with hood
- Rain/snow jacket with breathable waterproof membrane and hood
- Hat and gloves
- Sunglasses
- Sun cream
- Picnic lunch
- Water supply
- First aid kit with any personal treatments
- Mobile phone to be kept on at all times (enter the number of the guide, do not forget to leave with a charged battery)
- Identity card and health insurance card
- Survival blanket
