Observe the phenomenon of high tide at the Baie de Somme during a 3 km guided hike!

Located on the Picardy coast, the Baie de Somme is classified as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Numerous animal and plant species have made their home in this natural and peaceful place. The Baie de Somme offers to all lovers of hiking and wide open spaces, incredible landscapes that stretch for about 72 kilometres, and a spectacle of exceptional flora and fauna at about 2h30 from Lille and Paris!

Set off on a guided hike in complete safety, accompanied by an experienced guide. You will be able to admire a very surprising and typical spectacle of the Opal Coast, that of the high tides.

The high tides take place at the time of the plain and the new moon, when the moon and the sun are in alignment with the earth. At this time, the water of the sea can withdraw for kilometres (low tide) and rise very quickly and very high on the dike at an incredible speed. It is a spectacle not to be missed, during which the landscape changes in no time!

Nature lovers, come hike and admire the high tide at the Baie de Somme!
