The Baie de Somme, ranked among the 30 most beautiful bays in the world, stretches over some 72 kilometres and is home to numerous plant and animal species. Between cliffs, sand, dunes, pebbles and marshes, you will be able to take a deep breath of fresh air in an incredible nature. This preserved coastline is a real haven of peace!

Accompanied by your experienced guide, who loves this unique place, you will start your crossing where you will be able to see many varieties of animal and plant species, which he will be happy to teach you to recognise. Whatever the season, the Baie de Somme offers an incredible ecological diversity!

Practical information

Distance: about 7km

You will have to cross rivers. Note that the river depth and the path quality may vary depending on the weather conditions.

Equipment to bring (depending on the weather):

• From May to October and in warm weather: Old shoes (tennis, sandals, neoprene slippers, ...), hat, sunscreen.
• From October to May and in cold weather: Rubber boots and warm clothing.
• In all seasons: Windbreaker, backpack, water, pair of binoculars.

Do not forget to carry a change of clothes and return to Crotoy (Petit Train de Baie de Somme or Taxi)

Special terms

Dogs on a leash are allowed.

The departure times and dates may vary depending on the tides.

For this activity, be sure to purchase the train tickets once the schedule for the ride is set. For the return trip, you can use the shuttle (train) that will bring you back to the starting point.
