On site, join the Private Surf School and treat yourself to a 2-hour session to discover surfing near Biarritz. Run by Axel Lerga — a former high-level athlete who has been involved in the world of surfing since he was 40 years old — the school will welcome you in its tent, where you can leave your belongings before pulling on a Rip Curl or Deeply wetsuit and choose the right board for your height with your instructor. You'll then head down to the beach to warm up and learn the pop-up technique on the sand.

Your surf lesson in Biarritz continues with a 1-hour 15-minute session in the water, where you'll catch your first waves with the personalised guidance and feedback of your instructor. Within a small group of no more than 8 participants per instructor, you'll enjoy a friendly, sociable atmosphere throughout the lesson. Finding your balance may feel tricky at first, but you'll progress quickly and feel a real sense of achievement by the end of the session!
