Activity description

Go down the Giffre river in canoraft or rafting from Passy and live a sensational experience in Haute-Savoie, near Chamonix!

Your canoeing or rafting trip will start at the Session Raft base in Passy. First, you will be equipped with the necessary equipment and safety instructions will be presented to you. Then, depending on the boat you choose, a different course will be proposed to you. In any case, you will have the opportunity to experience a thrilling rafting descent on a part of the class 3 river. For about 1h30, you will go on the assault of the Giffre rapids!

The first white water sports base in the Mont-Blanc region, Session Raft has been specialising in white water sports since 1982. Supervised by one of their professional guides, you will be in good hands to enjoy a fun time of canorafting or rafting!

Only 30 minutes from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc by car, Passy is the ideal place to go rafting in Haute-Savoie. Indeed, the Giffre is located near our partner's base. This river of the Alps is a tributary of the main river of Haute-Savoie: the Arve. It is also one of the most beautiful rivers in Haute-Savoie, surrounded by sumptuous gorges that you will have the chance to discover. The rafting trip will take you down the part of the Giffre situated between Six-Fer-à-Cheval and Samoëns, while the canoeing trip will take place between Passy and Sallanches.
