Treat yourself to a beautiful half-day or full-day snowshoe hike with a mountain guide near Font-Romeu in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees.

The massifs of the Eastern Pyrenees offer an excellent playground in winter for snowshoeing. Snowshoes allow a discreet and stealthy approach to animals huddled under the snow cover.

During a half-day or full-day hike (sporty or not) from Mont-Louis near Font Romeu, you will discover the great wild fauna: isards, mouflons, deer and large birds of prey. Your mountain guide will teach you how to handle snowshoes but also how to light a fire like prehistoric men!

Course of the activity :
- Reception of the participants at the meeting point in Mont-Louis, a town classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with eleven other Vauban fortifications;

- Transfer by car to the starting point of the hike and distribution of equipment (snowshoes and poles);

- Off the beaten track hike around Font-Romeu with a picnic break and the possibility to choose an intense hike where you will go on more difficult access paths (if you book the day);

- Finally, return to the vehicles and then to Mt Louis.

Primera vez que la hacíamos y disfrutamos mucho del paisaje y de la actividad. Lo único que nos estaba nevando todo el rato y era un poco molesto, sobre todo por tener que llevar un perrito pequeño en una bolsa y tratar que no se mojara. Los demás íbamos bien protegidos.
